GENERAL CONDITIONS

• All forms must be filled in, with capital letters, dark (preferably black) ink, and must be signed by the person requesting the visa.
• The forms will only be received together with all other necessary documents in accordance with portuguese law.
• The passport must be valid at least 6 months after the requested visa expires; for passports issues less then six months ago, one could be asked to present the old passport.
• In case of visa approval, a transportation ticket and a fotocopy of the ticket must be presented.
• In case of visa rejection, there is no appeal.
• Visa fees vary depending on visa type and the USD-EURO exchange rate at the time of application.
• The Consular Section reserves its right to request any additional documents it deems necessary, as well as an interview with the applicant.
• Walk-in hours are the 9:30 to 12:30, Monday to Thursday.
